Fall/Winter 2023: the hottest Trends
The time has come: sweater weather, finally.
Since the unexpected September heatwave that caught us all by surprise is cooling down, we can now start looking at winter fashion.
It’s true that the holidays are getting closer, but fashion never takes a break.
Trends this season are looking a bit different from what we were expecting. Post-Covid trends predictions were screaming exaggeration and were envisioning sequins for everyday wear and metallics for every occasion (including supermarket runs), but things turned out quite differently.
Quiet luxury influence is stronger than ever, classic and timeless are the rules.
But rules are made to be broken, and this season makes no exception: with a pop of color here and a statement necklace there we can add character to any outfit, and we can bend long standing traditions as much as we like.
And so, without further ado, here are the hottest trends for this season.
Dress for the job you want
Corporate dressing is going to be big, and we can’t complain. Because even though we have been led to think that office dress codes take away from our personalities, our true selves can still shine through.
Exaggerated shoulders to go not unseen, alternative cuts, cropped shirts and ties: this and a lot more to choose from.
If it’s true what they say, that the way we dress influences the perception others have of us, we should never waste an occasion to impress on the worksite.

All red everything
When in doubt, wear red.
The bright and flashing fuchsia era has faded, and brands are slowly but surely drifting towards red in all his nuances.
A long cherry maxi dress is the perfect pick to wow everyone when feeling bold and sexy. It also comes in handy for all the approaching Christmas work parties of the season, for which one can never be underdressed.
But if extremes are not your cup of tea, a bright pop of color under wide legged jeans does the trick and elevates even the simplest of outfits, instantly making it cooler.
As far as the chicest and most elegant shade of red goes, we can all agree that burgundy is going to be the new navy, the go-to neutral for winter.
How to style: dare to dare
Denim on denim on denim
This comes as no surprise, but denim still has the fashion world in a chokehold. This season is all about going all out: denim pants, denim maxi and mini skirts, denim oversized jackets, denim boots. The more the better.
The versatility of this fabric makes it perfect for everyday wear, and it’s easy to switch up for the evening with a bold red lip and a pair of vertiginous stilettos.
How to style: no rules, simply a lot of denim
These boots are made for walking
As far as footwear goes, we have a wide selection to choose from, so wide it can fulfill everyone’s tastes.
The it girl boot is undeniably the biker boot: since Miu Miu made it its star back in 2022, it’s hard to resist the urge to buy a pair; brown or black, with buckles or without, these boots are the perfect pick to effortlessly look cool.
How to style: knee high socks, cargo mini skirt, cropped white shirt and tie
A French touch
Nothing screams French girl like a polished pair of Mary Jane, and who doesn’t love that elegant and chic allure? To get an even distant feel of the French capital, this is the way to go.

The return of ballerinas
The return of ballerinas shocked everyone, but their popularity only increases with time. Typically synonym for dainty and subtle, we have been seeing a lot of edginess in the buckles and pointiness of the new models (first added by Ganni), a brilliant way to reinvent a classic.

Put a bow on it
As we walk down the path of ballet-core, we cannot fail to notice how bows in all shapes and sizes are now a staple in accessorizing every outfit. The concept is simple: wherever you feel something is missing, a bow can probably fix it.
Shoes strings, cute hair pieces, tied around the neck as a necklace, the possibilities are endless.
